We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), applicable cantonal data protection regulations, and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data may be collected. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

3. Data Collection on This Website

3.1 Server Log Files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser transmits to us. These include:

3.2 Cookies and Local Storage

This website uses essential cookies for functionality. We also use localStorage to save your language preference and your analytics choice. In addition, Google Analytics 4 (section 4.1) sets the analytics cookies _ga and _ga_<container ID>. If you consent to advertising measurement, the Meta pixel (section 4.4) also sets the cookies _fbp and _fbc, and Google may set advertising cookies. Without your consent, no advertising cookies are set. When you first visit our site, a consent banner lets you accept or decline; you can change that choice at any time (section 4.1).

3.3 Contact and Booking Forms

When you contact us via email or use our booking form, the data you provide (name, email address, phone number, booking details) will be stored and processed for the purpose of handling your inquiry or booking. We will not share this data with third parties without your consent, unless required for the fulfilment of your booking (e.g. with our property management system).

4. Analytics and Monitoring

4.1 Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use it to measure reach and to understand how the site is used. For this purpose Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<container ID> and processes information about your visit, including a shortened IP address. Data retention is set to 14 months.

Advertising features and Google Signals are switched off, and no advertising cookies are set. This property is not linked to any advertising account. The Google Ads measurement described in section 4.5 is separate from this.

Google Analytics runs with Consent Mode v2. If you visit us from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, no analytics data is collected until you accept in our consent banner. From all other countries, including Switzerland, measurement is based on our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used; you can object at any time, and your objection takes effect immediately and permanently on this device.

During the booking process we transmit to Google Analytics the same steps we send to Plausible, and in addition the room type and rate name, the number of adults and, when the booking is completed, the booking number, without any amount. Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, travel dates, the number of children, voucher codes and error messages are not transmitted.

The purchase is transmitted by our server through the Google Analytics Measurement Protocol, only after payment for the reservation has been received. This happens only if you have expressly accepted in our consent banner, in Switzerland as well: only then does your browser pass the pseudonymous analytics identifiers (client ID and session ID) to our server when the booking is submitted. What is transmitted is these identifiers, the amount paid, the currency and the booking number as the transaction reference, so that revenue is not counted twice. Without your acceptance, Google Analytics receives no purchase from our server.

4.2 Plausible Analytics

To measure how the site is used, we also use Plausible Analytics, provided by Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia). Plausible works without cookies and without cross-device recognition. No personal data and no complete IP addresses are stored; evaluation is carried out exclusively in aggregated form.

During the booking process we additionally count individual steps, such as the availability search, viewing offers and completing a booking. What is transmitted is the property concerned and the respective step, without any amount. Booking and reservation numbers, names, email addresses, travel dates, guest numbers and voucher codes are not transmitted.

A purchase is not reported by your browser but by our server (the booking interface), and only once payment for the reservation has been received, exactly once per booking. What is transmitted is the event "Purchase", the property concerned, the amount actually paid with its currency and the type of source of your visit (such as search engine, advertising or direct access). So that Plausible can attribute the event to a visit and distinguish it from bots, our server also transmits the IP address and the browser identifier (user agent) that reached our server when the booking was submitted. Plausible does not store the IP address; it only uses it to form a visitor identifier that changes daily and cannot be traced back to you. Plausible does not receive names, email addresses, booking numbers or travel dates.

For this report we store the IP address and browser identifier for no more than 7 days and delete them earlier, as soon as the report has been made or the booking has been cancelled. The report is made regardless of your choice in the consent banner, like the rest of the Plausible measurement. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring booking success.

We also count clicks on links to other websites, file downloads, form submissions and views of an error page. What is transmitted is the target address of the link or file and the path of the error page. The contents of the forms are not transmitted.

4.3 Error and Performance Monitoring

This website uses Sentry, a service provided by Functional Software, Inc., to detect technical errors and measure loading performance. Processing takes place in the provider's EU region. We collect error messages with technical details about browser and device, as well as loading speed metrics. IP addresses, cookies and form contents are not transmitted.

If an error occurs, the course of the affected session is additionally recorded so that the cause can be traced. Text, input and image content are fully masked in the process. No recording takes place without an error.

4.4 Meta Pixel and Conversions API

To measure whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram leads to bookings, this website uses the Meta pixel, a service provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. The pixel is loaded only after you have given your consent. It then sets the cookies _fbp and _fbc and transmits which pages you viewed and which booking steps you completed.

In addition, we transmit paid bookings to Meta from our own server through the Conversions API, only once payment for the reservation has been received and with the amount paid. This, too, happens only with your consent. Email address and phone number are transmitted exclusively as an irreversible SHA-256 hash; we do not send them in plain text, nor do we send your IP address or browser identifier. The purpose is solely to attribute a booking to an advertisement, not to identify you. The pixel in your browser reports the purchase only once the page sees the payment confirmed, together with the booking number, so that Meta counts it only once alongside the report from our server.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 31(1) revFADP). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via the analytics settings link at the bottom of this page; the pixel is then no longer loaded. Meta also processes data in the United States. Further information is available in Meta's privacy policy.

4.5 Google Ads

To measure whether our advertisements on Google lead to bookings, we use Google Ads conversion measurement, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. If you reach us through a Google advertisement and have accepted in our consent banner, your browser keeps the click identifier of the advertisement (gclid, or gbraid or wbraid) and passes it to our server when the booking is submitted. Once payment has been received, our server transmits this click identifier, the booking number and the amount paid to Google Ads. Names, email addresses and phone numbers are not transmitted. If a booking is cancelled later, we may report it to Google Ads as retracted.

Without your acceptance, no click identifier is stored and no booking is reported to Google Ads. The Google Ads tag on this website likewise sets advertising cookies only after you have accepted; until then it sends only cookieless signals under Consent Mode. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 31(1) revFADP), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the analytics settings link at the bottom of this page. Google also processes data in the United States.
